A skeleton in the family - or let me introduce you to Sid
In the last year my taste in books was more focused towards the comedy genre and the last book that fell on my lap, or better say it appeared on my kindle suggestion was 'A skeleton in the family' by Leigh Perry.
Skeptical at first as I usually am I did not expect to be caught up so fast in it that I will end up reading it twice and google it to see if somebody had the idea to adapt it to the big screen. Cause this one I would really love to see.
Spoiler alert: it involves a skeleton named Sid which is awesome. Makes bonny jokes which can improve anyones cursing repertoire, puts himself into the most crazy situations with the help of the main character, Georgia Thackery an English college professor and his best friend. He is a notorious eavesdropper, loves to dance, watch TV and gossip with Georgia, has a ton of free time cause he doesn't have to sleep, lives in the attic and spends his time clacking on his computer or reading anything that he can put his bony hands on.
10% romance so do not expect any Sandra Brown stuff in it. And the romance does not involve Sid so nothing funny there. A very good insight in the life of college professors that I didn't expect but was very well done and I really liked it.
Great writing skills, jokes properly placed and a good choice of characters which made a great reading out of it.
Happy reading!
